How I Make $2,000 a Month Uploading Music Videos On YouTube (Newbie Friendly)

One night, while scrolling through YouTube, I noticed something odd: a handful of channels were racking up thousands of views just by posting music people were already searching for.

And I mean copyrighted music — Michael Jackson, Madonna, and the like.

I’m sure you’ve seen those YouTube music mix videos countless times.

No fancy editing. No original content. Just music and a description.

At first, I laughed it off. “There’s no way these guys are actually making money,” I thought.

YouTube never approves copyrighted content for their ad program.

And you know what? We don’t care about YouTube ads.

All we care about is views. Plenty of them.

Curiosity got the better of me, so I decided to test it myself.

I set up a simple channel, threw together a few uploads, and tucked a link in the description.

Nothing fancy. No complicated funnels.

Then I forgot about it.

The next morning, I opened my dashboard, and there it was: a small commission. A few dollars.

The kind of money that doesn’t matter… until you realize it happened while I was asleep.

Day after day, the numbers started climbing.

$5.

Then $20.

Then $50.

Before long, I was watching daily commissions stack up faster than my 9–5 paycheck.

That’s when I knew I’d stumbled onto something unusual — something that wasn’t about ad revenue, sponsorships, or chasing trends.

Just a simple, almost sneaky way to monetize attention that was already there.

In this post, I’ll break down exactly what I did.

Let’s Begin…

Alright, so here’s exactly what we will be doing.

We are going to upload music (~30min long) to Youtube and monetize that video with Amazon Affiliate program.

Here’s the exact video example that’s already doing it:

URL Of The Video:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nXHMBrn6M5c

If you open the description box, you will see this:

Support their Music/Album here:
WHAM! – Fantastic: http://amzn.to/2nVzAj9
WHAM! – Make It Big : http://amzn.to/2mMdlw0
WHAM! – Music from the Edge of Heaven : http://amzn.to/2nCUt6M
WHAM! – The Final : http://amzn.to/2n6jLbZ

It’s a clever way to monetize music videos, which gets gazillion of views.

Most people don’t know how to make money out of them.

Well, now you know.

Simply create an Amazon Affiliate account (free and easy),
and put your affiliate links in the video description box.

Step 1. Create a New YouTube Channel.

To play safe, create a new channel: https://www.youtube.com/account

Just in case.

Step 2: Choose the music

Pick a popular song or album.

Typically, creators pick tracks that have high search volume or trending popularity.

Step 3: Find or create a video

Options people use:

A visualizer or static image with the song audio.

Many just use the song audio with a static image of the album cover.

Alright, let’s grab this Michael Jackson music video album and download to your computer:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bdGseK7U7A0

As you can see, it’s only 1 year old, but there are over 6 Million Views!

How to download a video?

Go to google and type: Download Youtube Video.

Then choose the first result and paste your video URL.

This will download music video to your computer.

Step 4: Set up an Amazon affiliate account

Sign up for Amazon’s affiliate program.

URL: https://affiliate-program.amazon.com/

Get links to the music album, singles, or merchandise you want to promote.

Step 5: Upload the video to YouTube

Add a compelling title, description, and tags.

In the description, include your Amazon affiliate link(s).

Step 6: Earn commissions

Every purchase via your Amazon link earns you a percentage.

Ad revenue from YouTube is likely blocked or claimed by the copyright owner.

But we don’t care about them.

We need views and clicks on Amazon links.

Hope you enjoyed this method.

Now, go ahead and start!
